Our Accreditations
After several years in the development stages, our pellet stoves have been meticulously designed and manufactured to ensure our customers love the final product. At Island Pellet Stoves, we pride ourselves on delivering the best in quality and service, and we directly oversee the commissioning of every stove we supply.
Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated through our accreditations and we take pride in the high standards we adhere to. When you order a wood pellet stove from us, you can have the assurance that you’re choosing a company that meets and exceeds industry standards, and we are affiliated with some of the most respected organisations in the industry.
HETAS
HETAS is a non-profit organisation that sets the benchmark for best practices in our industry. As a trusted expert advisor to the government, HETAS influences national and EU standards for wood burning appliances. By providing industry-leading training, HETAS also ensures that businesses are giving their customers an honest and reliable service.
Being HETAS accredited means we follow the best practices, meet high standards and promote safety in all of our installations. You can have peace of mind when you turn to us knowing that you will be getting a suitable and efficient wood burning stove, and our team will provide you with sound advice throughout.
We also have a HETAS Cleaner Choice Certification, meaning that our stoves use cleaner burning technologies to reduce their environmental impact. This unique Approval Scheme relies on a first-hand review of test data to check that appliances meet or exceed the most stringent limits. You can find out more about the requirements of Cleaner Choice on the HETAS website.
DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs)
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is responsible for improving and protecting the environment, playing a major role in people’s day-to-day lives. It aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase sustainability, among other things, and ultimately, restore the environment for the next generation.
All of our pellet stoves are DEFRA-approved, making them compliant with the Clean Air Act 1993. Many parts of the UK are now Smoke Control Areas, such as cities and large towns, and you can only burn authorised fuel or use DEFRA-approved appliances in these areas. You can confidently invest in our wood burning stoves knowing they can be legally used, regardless of where you live. All of our stoves are environmentally friendly, and they are designed to reduce emissions and maintain clean air quality.
UK Patented Product
The pellet stoves we supply at Island Pellet Stoves are UK patented. The proprietary technology that makes our stoves silent in operation with an outstanding flame pattern is protected, so you won’t find anything else like it on the market. Our innovative stoves really are unique.
By focusing on the intricate details that enhance both the aesthetics and the experience of our stoves, we have created a product that stands out from the crowd. Getting our technology patented reflects our commitment to delivering unparalleled quality to our customers, ensuring our pellet stoves replicate the much-loved log stoves that used to sit in living rooms while providing a modern appearance, high efficiency, low emissions and longevity. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of design and functionality in the pellet stove industry.
Hearth & Home Exhibition Award
In 2015, we were honoured with the “Pellet or Wood Chip Appliance of the Year” award at the Hearth & Home Exhibition in Harrogate. This is the UK’s leading trade show for our industry and the biggest names in the world of fireplaces attend every year.
The Hearth & Home Exhibition Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and the competition is incredibly fierce. Our Lundy stove was recognised for its outstanding flame quality and we are very proud that it’s considered the best of the best when it comes to pellet stoves. This award demonstrates our commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, and reinforces our reputation for creating pellet stoves with not only superior functionality but also a visually attractive flame. You don’t need to install a traditional log burner to get real flames and you can enjoy a mesmerising lazy flame in our Lundy stoves.
